Bangladesh Reaffirms Strong Ties with India, Emphasizes Mutual Respect

Bangladesh has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strong ties with India based on mutual respect and shared interests. Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain emphasized this on Monday, addressing recent concerns raised by Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar about violence against minorities in Bangladesh. Hossain dismissed these concerns, asserting that incidents of violence against minorities should not be a concern for India. He also responded to Jaishankar’s remarks regarding accusations that Dhaka was blaming New Delhi for its internal issues, reiterating that Bangladesh remains focused on fostering a respectful and cooperative relationship with India.
