Ariana Grande Shines with Golden Globe Nod and Oscar Buzz

Ariana Grande is making waves in awards season with her first-ever Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Wicked. This milestone has sparked buzz about her potential Oscar nomination, with many considering her a frontrunner in the Best Supporting Actress category alongside co-star Cynthia Erivo.

Although Wicked’s songs are not eligible for Best Original Song at the Oscars, fans are hopeful Grande and Erivo will perform at the ceremony. Grande expressed her excitement about the possibility, saying, “I’ll sing anywhere, anytime, especially in celebration of Wicked,” and praised Erivo as her “sister.”

At the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Celebration, Grande attended with her mother, Joan, and shared a special moment with fellow nominee Zoe Saldaña. The event, held in Beverly Hills, was a star-studded affair, and Grande spoke about the thrill of being recognized for her work.

One of the highlights for Grande was learning that her childhood idol, Imogen Heap, had seen and loved Wicked. She also had the chance to meet Steven Spielberg, an experience she called “overwhelming” and “an honor.”
