Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez Exchange Heartfelt Messages

Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez are excited after being nominated for Golden Globe awards. Both actresses were nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie. Ariana is up for her role in Wicked, and Selena is nominated for Emilia Pérez.

Ariana was one of the first to congratulate Selena after the nominations were announced. Selena said that Ariana sent her a sweet message early in the morning, and they even exchanged voice messages. Ariana said she is happy for Selena because she knows how hard she has worked.

The two actresses have been friends for a while. Both started as child stars—Selena on Wizards of Waverly Place and Ariana on Victorious. Ariana shared that she doesn’t know Selena as well as she’d like but is excited to spend more time with her.

At the Academy Women’s Luncheon, Selena gave a speech about how important teamwork is in the movie industry. She also talked about how the entertainment world can feel lonely at times, but moments like this remind her she is not alone.

The luncheon had many other stars, like Gal Gadot, Mila Kunis, and Kristen Bell. Selena also talked about her love for Broadway musicals and mentioned Chicago, saying she’d like to be Roxy Hart if she ever performed in it.

Selena was also nominated for her role in Only Murders in the Building and said she was sad her co-star Meryl Streep didn’t get a nomination. However, she said Meryl doesn’t need any awards to prove her talent.
