Apple TV Plus Offers Free Access for New Year’s Celebration

Apple has announced that its streaming service, Apple TV Plus, will be free to watch from January 3 to January 5 as part of New Year’s celebrations. During this period, Apple TV Plus will be accessible on any device where the app is available.

For those who haven’t tried Apple TV Plus before, the streaming service houses popular TV shows like “Severance,” “Slow Horses,” “Silo,” and “Ted Lasso,” among others. This marks the first time Apple is offering free limited-time access to its video streaming service. However, as with all Apple services, an Apple ID is required to access the streaming service.

While Apple’s post on X indicates that the streaming service will be free on January 4 and January 5, a press release from the company states that it is offering free access from January 3 to January 5. Apple TV Plus is available via the Apple TV app in more than 100 countries and costs just Rs 99 per month. The Cupertino-based tech giant is also promoting a seven-day free trial for new subscribers and offering a month of free access if you buy select Apple products for a limited time period.

The promotional offer is likely part of Apple’s strategy to attract more customers to its streaming platform, a market that has been dominated by the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and others.
