The Voice News: Apple is expanding its retail presence in India with the launch of its third official store, this time in Bengaluru’s Phoenix Mall of Asia, further signaling the tech giant’s deepening commitment to the Indian market.
According to a report by Business Standard, the new store will span approximately 8,000 square feet on the mall’s first floor—roughly the same size as Apple’s Delhi outlet but smaller than its Mumbai flagship, which covers over 20,800 square feet.
The lease agreement is for 10 years and includes a revenue-sharing model: Apple will pay 2% of the store’s revenue for the first three years, increasing to 2.5% thereafter—standard practice in high-traffic shopping centers.
This Bengaluru expansion is part of Apple’s broader plan to strengthen its retail infrastructure across India. CEO Tim Cook recently confirmed intentions to open four new stores across Pune, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Bengaluru. The company’s first two stores, located in Mumbai and Delhi, launched in 2023.
