Andrew Garfield has shared his thoughts on possibly returning to the Spider-Man franchise for the fourth Tom Holland movie.
The new Spider-Man film is set to come out next summer, and Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing Shang-Chi, will direct it.
Garfield, who played Peter Parker in the early 2010s, came back in 2021’s No Way Home, appearing as a version of Spider-Man from a different universe, alongside Tobey Maguire.
Recently, Garfield addressed rumors about him appearing again, saying, “I’m gonna disappoint you. Yeah, no,” during an interview with GQ. However, he joked that people might not believe him after lying about his No Way Home appearance initially.
The actor mentioned his interest in joining another big franchise if it felt like the right project, explaining, “If it felt in line with my soul and was gonna be fun.” He even joked about needing to save up for his future kids’ school tuition.
While Spider-Man 4 will begin filming this summer, not many details about the movie have been revealed yet. In October, Tom Holland hinted at a “crazy” idea at the center of the film, telling Good Morning America that it would be something different from what fans have seen before.
Spider-Man 4 is set to hit theaters on July 24, 2026.
