After a dramatic 120-minute battle, 10-man United beat Arsenal in the tiebreaker

Goalkeeper Altai Baindi’s penalty shoot-out, who was a wall of obstacles in front of Arsenal’s storm, also made a great save.

Shortly after the start of the second half, Manchester United went ahead with a great goal. The drama started there. In a short time, they became a team of 10, digesting goals. Arsenal got a golden opportunity to make a difference; But they couldn’t use it. After that, United dragged the fight to the tiebreaker with the pressure of the opponent. Huben Amuri’s team reached the last sixteen of the FA Cup by winning the test of nerves.

After a 1-1 draw in regulation and extra time in the third round match at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, United won 5-3 in the tiebreaker.

After Bruno Fernandes put United ahead, Gabriel Magaleis drew parity. Altai Bayondir then emerged as United’s hero. After stopping Martin Odegor’s penalty shot at the scheduled time, the Turkish goalkeeper also stopped a shot in the tiebreaker.
In 120 minutes of fighting, Arsenal had possession of the ball 70 per cent of the time and could keep seven on target with 26 shots on goal. With only seven shots, United smiled in the tiebreaker with four targets.

In the penalty shootout, United sent all five shots into the net. Arsenal succeeded in three; Kai Havertz’s weak shot was stopped by Baindir.

Arsenal suffered a big blow in the first half. In the 38th minute, just outside his D-box, the opponent Fernandes was injured while tackling from behind. After first aid, he was taken out of the field on a stretcher.

He was replaced by English midfielder Raheem Sterling.

After the break, the fight started very well. Many things happen in a short time, both teams get to see the net.

In the 52nd minute, Fernandes broke the deadlock with a wonderful goal. The Portuguese midfielder took the team forward with a strong shot on the right foot by catching the pass of Alejandro Garnacho from the right side of the box.

The joy of going forward, however, did not last long for United. Dalot saw two yellow cards in the space of 10 minutes before and after the goal. In the 61st minute, the Portuguese defender left the field after seeing the second card by fouling Mikel Merino in the midfield.

Within minutes, Arsenal equalized. When United’s goalkeeper and defense players failed to clear the ball in the box, Brazilian defender Maglias found the address in a great shot behind the post.
Within ten minutes, the hosts got the golden opportunity. In the box, Kai Havertz was fouled by United defender Harry Maguire and the referee played the penalty flute. But Odegor’s spot kick jumped and stopped goalkeeper Baindir.

In the rest of the time, Arsenal continued to attack. But no one could do anything to make the difference. Then Havertz’s failure in the tiebreaker and United’s joy in search of light.

Arsenal started the new year with a win over Brentford, but after that, Arsenal remained winless in three consecutive matches.

They lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle United in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final on Tuesday. After the fear of departure there, they were knocked out of the FA Cup.
