Aamir’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Trailer Out May 1

After more than two years, Aamir Khan is finally set to return to the big screen with his much-anticipated film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. The film has generated buzz for months, and now it’s been confirmed that PVR Inox Pictures will be distributing the film. Moreover, the trailer is set to hit cinema screens across India from May 1.

According to sources, Aamir shares a long-standing relationship with the PVR Inox team. “On his 60th birthday in March, PVR Inox hosted a film festival celebrating Aamir’s iconic films. Just days earlier, PVR Juhu held a conversation event featuring Aamir and Javed Akhtar,” the source revealed.

‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is being considered a spiritual sequel to Aamir’s 2007 hit ‘Taare Zameen Par’, which also had a connection with PVR Pictures. Back then, it was co-produced by Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Ajay Bijli, and Aamir Khan Productions.

The trailer, which is 3 minutes and 29 seconds long, has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It is expected to be launched digitally on April 30, followed by theatrical screening from May 1 alongside big releases like Raid 2, Thunderbolts, and The Bhootnii.

Directed by R.S. Prasanna (of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan fame), ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ also stars Genelia Deshmukh alongside Aamir Khan. The film is expected to release on June 20, 2025.

PVR Inox Pictures has recently distributed several major titles such as Bholaa, Mission Raniganj, Article 370, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Stree 2, Singham Again, Baby John, and Sky Force. Expectations are now high for Aamir’s return to the big screen.
