Macron Announces Modi’s Visit to France for AI Action Summit in February

New Delhi – France is set to host the “Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence” in early February in Paris, with India co-chairing the event, as announced by French Minister Clara Chappaz on Wednesday. The summit will bring together global leaders from governments, civil society, research, and business to engage in discussions on the future of AI.

The announcement follows French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent statement that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit France to attend the summit, scheduled for February 10-11. President Macron highlighted the significance of this event during his address at the 30th Conference of Ambassadors, emphasizing the importance of forging a global dialogue on AI.

“France will be hosting the AI Summit on February 10-11. A summit for action, as we call it. This summit will allow for an international conversation on AI,” said President Macron. “There will be Prime Minister Modi, who will move up to a major visit in our country as we want to forge a dialogue with all powers on AI.”

The summit aims to foster collaboration and innovation in the field of artificial intelligence, addressing key challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. With India’s involvement as a co-chair, the event underscores the importance of international cooperation in advancing AI technologies for the benefit of all.
