Hartal in Bangladesh on 18 January: Against the Illegal Occupying Yunus Regime

In support of the dawn-to-dusk hartal (strike) scheduled in Bangladesh on January 18, the US Awami League has organized a demonstration at Diversity Plaza in Jackson Heights, New York.
The primary purpose of this program, aimed at securing the rights of the people of Bangladesh, is to protest against the new VAT policy introduced by the illegal occupying Yunus government. Through this program, demands will be raised to:
Abolish the burdensome VAT system,
Control the soaring prices of essential goods,
End violence and oppression,
Withdraw false cases,
Release political prisoners,
Stop acts of arson terrorism, and
Ensure the resignation of the illegal Yunus government.
The principal slogan for this demonstration has been declared as:


“STEPDOWN STEPDOWN KILLER YUNUS”
This initiative is seen as a crucial step toward easing the lives of ordinary citizens in Bangladesh and establishing democracy. The US Awami League has called upon expatriate Bangladeshis to attend this program on January 18 to show their unwavering support for the ongoing democratic movement in Bangladesh.
In an appeal to those who believe in the ideals of 1971, Dr. Siddiqur Rahman, President of the US Awami League, General Secretary Abdus Samad Azad, and Publicity and Publication Secretary Abdul Hamid, have urged everyone to participate in this program.
