How Barca’s trophy cabinet is 100

Real Madrid reached the milestone of 100 trophies in February 2023. Then the team’s trophy cabinet has been enriched in the last two years.

However, the wait for winning 100 trophies was not over for Real Madrid’s arch-rival Barcelona. The wait is finally over for them. The Catalan club has touched the milestone of 100 trophies by defeating Real.

Until last night, Barca’s number of trophies excluding regional trophies was 99. The Catalan club won their 100th trophy by defeating Real Madrid 5-2 in the Spanish Super Cup final.

After 125 years of officially starting as a club, the desired three-digit has been seen by one of the best football superpowers in Europe. In addition to touching the milestone with this trophy, the title-drought is also Barca. The previous season was spent empty-handed. Barca last won La Liga in May 2023.

Barcelona has increased the distance with Real Madrid in the number of Super Cup titles in Jeddah’s great performance. So far, they have won 14 titles in the competition.

Real Madrid would have touched Barca if they won last night’s final. But Hansi Flick’s team did not allow Real to meet that goal. They regained the title and increased the difference.
On the way to winning 100 titles, Barca has won the Copa del Rey trophy the most times. They have won this competition 31 times. The second highest trophy team has won in La Liga, 27 times. Barcelona has also won the Spanish Super Cup 15 times, the Champions League 5 times and the UEFA Super Cup 5 times.

Apart from Barcelona and Real in Europe’s top 5 leagues, no other team has won 100 titles.
