How the New Captain America Movie Could Earn $100 Million in Four Days

Several high-budget Hollywood films are set to be released this year, generating immense excitement among audiences. One of the most highly anticipated films is Captain America: Brave New World, which is set to release next month. Marvel fans have been eagerly awaiting this movie for a long time.

As the first big release of the year, the film is expected to earn $100 million within its first four days. The movie will release during the Presidents’ Day weekend in the United States, from February 14 to 17. This period is traditionally full of celebrations and events, making it an ideal time for a movie release.

Deadline forecasts that Captain America: Brave New World could earn between $86 million and $95 million during its opening weekend, with the possibility of surpassing $100 million.

Marvel Studios has a strong track record for Presidents’ Day weekend openings. In 2018, Black Panther earned $242.1 million, Deadpool made $152.1 million, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania grossed $120.3 million. Black Panther alone earned $202 million in its first three days. Given these records, Captain America: Brave New World is expected to follow a similar path.

The forecast also takes into account the cast change and the overall reset of the Captain America franchise. This new installment is expected to follow a grounded, realistic tone, similar to 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which earned $95 million during its opening weekend.

Tracking service Quorum reveals that Captain America: Brave New World has generated the highest awareness among upcoming releases, with a score of 58. This surpasses other films like Universal’s Wolf Man (44), Lionsgate’s Flight Risk (37), and Sony’s Paddington in Peru (36). The film has particularly strong interest among male audiences, but it has also resonated well with women under 35.

In terms of ticket sales, 67% of potential viewers are inclined to see the film in theaters, a much higher figure compared to other upcoming films like Wolf Man (57%), Flight Risk (57%), Companion (37%), and Paddington in Peru (45%).

Directed by Julius Onah, the movie continues the story from the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, where Sam Wilson picks up the shield left by Steve Rogers. Given the success of the series, the film is expected to receive strong support from its fanbase.
