India and the United States will work together to build a stable Bangladesh.

Outgoing U.S. Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, has said, “We all want a stable, prosperous, and resilient Bangladesh, and to achieve this goal, India and the United States can work more closely with one another.”

According to the Times of India, the United States and India have expressed deep concern about protecting the rights of Bangladesh’s minority communities. Eric Garcetti mentioned that both the Biden administration and the upcoming Trump administration have emphasized taking significant steps to ensure the protection of minorities in Bangladesh.

At a press conference in Kolkata, Garcetti said, “Our national security advisors held a meeting last week where Bangladesh was a key topic of discussion. How can we best assist Bangladesh? How can Bangladesh organize elections quickly and ensure everyone’s safety? That is our primary goal.”

Garcetti discussed Bangladesh’s political situation and governance reforms, noting that while governance reforms are always challenging, if accepted by the global community, they can be a positive step forward.
