Kamala Harris’s House Evacuated

A devastating wildfire has spread across several areas near Los Angeles, California. Over 2,900 acres have already burned, prompting the evacuation of more than 30,000 people, with evacuation orders issued for at least 70,000 more. The news was reported by TASS.

So far, five people have died, and more than a thousand homes have been destroyed due to the wildfire. A state of emergency has been declared considering the severity of the situation. In light of the threat, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’s house in Los Angeles has been evacuated.

On Wednesday, January 8, TASS reported that residents from the area surrounding Kamala Harris’s house were relocated to safer places due to the intensifying fire driven by strong winds. However, Kamala Harris is currently in Washington.

The 350-square-meter house, located in an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood, was purchased in 2012 by Kamala Harris’s husband, attorney Douglas Emhoff. Notable neighbors include actress Gwyneth Paltrow and basketball star LeBron James.

Meanwhile, U.S. media reports that the wildfire started from a 10-acre area and quickly spread to over 2,900 acres within a few hours, prompting the declaration of a state of emergency in Los Angeles.

Fire Chief Christine Crowley stated that more than 30,000 people are being evacuated to safety.

Video footage of the wildfire shows flames engulfing the Pacific Palisades area, with residents abandoning their cars to escape the fire.
