Shining Stars: Winners of the 82nd Golden Globe Awards

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards were held on Sunday, showcasing a night filled with outstanding performances in both television and film. The ceremony honored the best talent across a range of categories, with some familiar faces taking home the coveted awards while others surprised the audience with their wins.

Television Highlights
In the world of television, Jeremy Allen White took home the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for his role as Carmy in The Bear. Meanwhile, Jean Smart won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for her standout performance in Hacks.

The competition in the drama categories was fierce, but Hiroyuki Sanada triumphed as Best Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama for his role in Shōgun. Similarly, Anna Sawai claimed the Best Female Actor in a Television Series – Drama award for her performance in the same series.

In the limited series category, Colin Farrell earned Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series for The Penguin, while Jodie Foster took home Best Performance by a Female Actor for True Detective: Night Country.

Shōgun emerged as the Best Television Series – Drama, while Hacks won Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. The night also saw Baby Reindeer win Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television, and Tadanobu Asano securing Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television for his performance in Shōgun.

Film Winners
On the film front, Emilia Perez was the night’s big winner, claiming Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language, and Best Original Song for El Mal.

The Brutalist was awarded Best Motion Picture – Drama, with Adrien Brody winning Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his role in the film. Fernanda Torres received the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama award for her remarkable performance in I’m Still Here.

In the supporting roles, Kieran Culkin won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for A Real Pain, while Zoe Saldana was awarded Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Emilia Perez.

In the musical or comedy categories, Sebastian Stan was honored as Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his role in A Different Man, while Demi Moore claimed the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy award for The Substance.

Brady Corbet won Best Director – Motion Picture for The Brutalist, and The Wild Robot was named Best Motion Picture – Animated.
