Urgent Rally to Demand Justice for Religious Minorities in Bangladesh: Stand with Victims of Human Rights Violations

A crucial rally will take place tomorrow, December 27th, at 3:00 PM at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, to raise awareness about the ongoing atrocities and human rights violations in Bangladesh. The protest, organized by the Hindu Buddhist Unity Council and supported by several key organizations, will be held at 1100 South Ocean Blvd. and aims to bring urgent attention to the dire situation facing religious minorities in Bangladesh.
Since the ousting of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on August 5th, 2024, Bangladesh has descended into political and social chaos, with radical Islamist groups waging violent campaigns against religious minorities, including Hindus, Buddhists, and progressive Muslims. These groups have engaged in numerous heinous acts, including mob violence, arson, and the destruction of homes, businesses, and places of worship. The resulting instability has severely impacted the nation’s democracy and posed a grave threat to the cultural and linguistic identity of the Bengali people.
The rally, which calls for immediate intervention by President-elect Donald Trump, is a united effort by Bangladeshi Hindus and other religious minorities across the United States. The participating organizations include United Hindus of USA, Jagannath Hall Alumni Association, Stop Hindus Genocide, Hindu Pact, Hindu Society of Florida, and the South Asian Minority Collective. Their collective goal is to demand justice for the victims of religious persecution in Bangladesh and to urge the incoming U.S. administration to address the issue on the global stage.
The community leaders invite all to stand in solidarity with those suffering in Bangladesh and show all out support for the fight to uphold human rights, justice, and democracy. The rally offers an important opportunity to make the voice of humanity heard and raise awareness about the brutalities faced by innocent minority civilians in Bangladesh.
‘Participation of all will be invaluable in ensuring that the victims of these atrocities are not forgotten. Let’s come together to demand action and bring justice to those in desperate need. We look forward to your presence at this pivotal event’, the press note mentioned.
