Marvel Studios has officially announced that Black Panther 3 is currently in development. Returning as producer is Nate Moore, who previously produced Black Panther (2018) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige praised Nate Moore during the announcement, acknowledging that Moore, who will be stepping away from Marvel to pursue other projects, has had a significant impact on their storytelling. Feige said, “Nate Moore is an extraordinary executive and colleague, and a great friend to all of us. He’s been a member of our team since 2010, and his influence will be reflected in our stories. We will miss him a lot, but we are excited to see his next chapter and, at the same time, thrilled to work with him again on Black Panther 3.”
Nate Moore expressed his excitement, saying, “During my time at Marvel Studios, I’ve learned a great deal about production. I’m fortunate to have worked with a team that is so passionate and committed to film and storytelling. I’m really excited to use my experience and love for film to create more theatrical movies, and at the same time, return to the world of Wakanda through Black Panther 3.”
The Black Panther films primarily focus on the story of T’Challa, the king of Wakanda, also known as Black Panther, a role originally played by the late Chadwick Boseman. After his untimely passing, Wakanda Forever saw T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) step into the role of Black Panther, marking a new chapter for Wakanda.
With the announcement of Black Panther 3, there is now a renewed sense of hope and excitement surrounding the next chapter in the world of Wakanda.
