Mariah Carey’s Holiday Hit Returns to No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

The holiday season is officially upon us, as Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” re-enters the Billboard Hot 100, marking its sixth annual return. The 1994 classic takes the top spot with an impressive 38 million streams and 24 million radio airplay impressions, according to Luminate.

This seasonal favorite bumps Kendrick Lamar’s “Squabble Up” to second place. Lamar, however, maintains a strong presence with tracks “TV Off,” “Luther,” and “Squabble Up” holding positions at No. 4, 6, and 7, respectively.

Meanwhile, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” the longest-running No. 1 single of 2024, slides to No. 8, while Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile,” a Grammy-nominated track, is at No. 9. This duet is up for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo Performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

In the holiday spirit, the rest of the Hot 100 Top 10 is filled with festive tunes. Brenda Lee’s 66-year-old hit “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” claims No. 2, followed by Wham!’s “Last Christmas” at No. 3. Bobby Helms’ “Jingle Bell Rock” is at No. 5, and Burl Ives’ “A Holly Jolly Christmas” rounds out the top 10.

As for holiday albums, Michael Bublé’s “Christmas” holds steady at No. 7, while Bing Crosby’s “Ultimate Christmas” sits at No. 9. Dominating the Billboard 200, however, is Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department,” which secures its 16th non-consecutive week at No. 1.
