The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) will honor Emily Blunt and Aamir Khan at the opening ceremony of its fourth edition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this week. The festival will take place from December 5 to 14.
Blunt, known for her role in Oppenheimer, and Khan, famous for Dangal, are being recognized for their successful careers and their lasting impact on the film industry.
Other honorees already announced for 2024 include Viola Davis (The Woman King, Fences) and Egypt’s Mona Zaki (Perfect Strangers).
Both Blunt and Khan will also participate in the festival’s “In Conversation With” sessions, where they will share their career experiences and thoughts on film with guests from around the world.
Blunt said, “I’m so excited to be part of the Red Sea Film Festival and thankful to be one of this year’s honorees. I love what the festival is doing to support new and innovative talent, especially how they’re empowering women in film.”
Khan expressed his excitement, saying, “Cinema has always been my passion, and it’s an honor to be recognized by the Red Sea International Film Festival. I look forward to learning from others and celebrating the power of storytelling that brings us all together.”
