Selena Gomez Proud of Boyfriend in PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive Issue

Selena Gomez is expressing her love and pride for her boyfriend, music producer Benny Blanco, who is featured in PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive issue. The Only Murders in the Building star, 32, shared her feelings about Blanco’s recognition during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Nov. 30.

“That’s my man!” Gomez said, smiling as she talked about Blanco, 36. She went on to explain how much he means to her.

“I’m beyond proud to know that there is someone in the world that deeply cares about every tiny detail about who I am,” she added. “And have someone support me, encourage me, inspire me, and motivate me. It brings me joy. And more than anything, he’s just my best friend.”

Gomez also shared how lucky she feels in her relationship, saying, “I’m really, really lucky.”

Previously, the “Calm Down” singer has mentioned that she feels the “safest” she has “ever felt” with Blanco, and that she sees a future with him. She told The Hollywood Reporter, “I see a future with this person.”

Gomez also spoke about how she and Blanco manage their relationship in the public eye. “When you put a little bit out there, people are not as hungry to hunt you down,” she explained. “Like, if they hear something, they’re going to, but if you’re like, ‘I did it,’ they’re like, ‘Oh, well there’s you, just going to Sushi Park.’ But there’s so much of my relationship people don’t see — that’s just mine.”

On Instagram, Gomez has called Blanco the “love of my life.”

In PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive issue, Blanco shared tips on being a “Sexy Gentleman.” His advice included “learn how to cook,” “dress with confidence,” and “self-care is a must.” He also revealed his top dating tip: “The No. 1 thing you need to do on a date is just listen to what the person’s saying. Don’t talk about yourself the whole time. No one cares.”

Blanco also spoke about his favorite time of day with Gomez. “I’m a real morning person. It’s my favorite time to spend with Sel,” he said. “Because we both wake up really early. It’s like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up. I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life.”
