Former Dutch Prime Minister and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is reportedly set to meet U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in Florida to discuss the ongoing Ukraine crisis, according to reports from Dutch and U.S. media outlets.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has revealed that Rutte has traveled to Florida and will visit Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach. Similarly, Russian news agency Interfax, citing sources from the Washington Post, reported that the meeting will focus on strategies for achieving long-term peace between Moscow and Kyiv.
This meeting comes as NATO and Ukraine have scheduled emergency talks in Brussels on Tuesday following Russia’s use of a new ballistic missile during a strike on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro. The strike has intensified concerns over escalating hostilities in the region.
