Left-Wing Dark Money Network Raised Over $1.3 Billion in 2023 for Progressive Causes

Arabella Advisors’ Nonprofit Network Drives Billion-Dollar Funding for Liberal Projects

A left-wing dark money network managed by Arabella Advisors raised more than $1.3 billion in anonymous donations in 2023 to fund progressive initiatives, according to tax filings obtained by Fox News Digital. The funds were distributed to liberal causes, including climate change, gun reform, and gender equity.

The Washington, D.C.-based consulting group oversees six nonprofits: New Venture Fund, Sixteen Thirty Fund, Windward Fund, Hopewell Fund, North Fund, and Telescope Fund. Together, these entities raised approximately $1.35 billion last year, distributing nearly $1.5 billion in grants to various organizations.

Key Contributions and Expenditures

            •           New Venture Fund: The largest nonprofit in the network, it raised $669 million in 2023.

            •           Windward Fund: Focused on “climate resilience,” it brought in $212 million. It sent $2.2 million to the China-linked Rocky Mountain Institute, a group advocating for the ban of gas stoves.

            •           Sixteen Thirty Fund: Received $181 million, spending about $141 million on social challenges, including gun reform and climate initiatives.

            •           North Fund: Raised $59 million, spending $39 million on LGBTQ+, environmental, and gender equity projects.

            •           Hopewell Fund and Telescope Fund: Together, they raised $226 million and spent $193 million.

The network also paid $48 million to its consulting firm, Arabella Advisors, and allocated $17 million to Elias Law Group, a legal firm run by Democratic attorney Marc Elias.

Criticism of Dark Money Practices

Critics argue that the Arabella Advisors network exemplifies the influence of dark money in politics, allowing progressive groups to bypass traditional tax reporting requirements. Caitlin Sutherland, Executive Director of Americans for Public Trust, stated, “Year after year, the undisputed kings of dark money—Arabella Advisors—rake in over a billion dollars to fund their radical left-wing policy pushes across the country.”

Arabella Advisors, however, distanced itself from the tax filings, stating, “The 2023 tax filings you are referring to do not belong to Arabella Advisors. They are tax filings for independent nonprofit organizations.”

Controversy Over Gas Stove Ban and Ties to the Biden Administration

One of the network’s controversial contributions includes $2.2 million from the Windward Fund to the Rocky Mountain Institute, which has ties to the Biden White House and advocates for banning gas stoves.

The Future of Dark Money Debates

The revelations have reignited discussions about transparency in political funding, with critics pointing out inconsistencies in liberal calls to end dark money while utilizing it to support progressive agendas.
