AL Leaders and Supporters Hold Flash Processions Across Bangladesh
Supporters, activists, and leaders of the Bangladesh Awami League (AL) organized brief flash processions in different parts of the country, demonstrating their solidarity and chanting slogans such as “Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu.”
On Sunday night, a group of Awami League leaders and activists staged a short procession in the Port City of Chattogram, starting from Probortak Mor. They carried banners supporting the party’s election symbol, the Nouka (boat). However, the procession dissipated as it entered nearby lanes. Earlier, on October 19, another group organized a similar procession in Jamal Khan. During that event, Kotwali Police Station detained a young participant from the political program.
On November 18, supporters and leaders of the Awami League, along with its volunteer wing, the Shechchasebak League, staged another procession in Dhaka, demanding the withdrawal of what they termed false cases filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her associates.
Additionally, members of the Sylhet City unit of the Chhatra League, the student wing of the Awami League, organized a procession on the same issue earlier today, reflecting a coordinated effort across various regions.
