Korean Star’s Suicide, A Note Found Nearby

The lifeless body of Korean model and actor Sung Jae Rim was found in his apartment. The 39-year-old actor, who lived in a Seoul apartment, was discovered there. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether it was a suicide or a murder.

However, a two-page suicide note was recovered from near Sung Jae Rim’s body. The police are investigating why this actor, who was actively working in the industry, would suddenly take his own life.

According to a report from The Korean Herald, it is still unclear who first discovered Sung Jae Rim’s body. The police received news of his death at around 12:30 AM on Tuesday night. When they arrived at the scene, they found the actor’s body inside his apartment. The area was immediately sealed off, and the body was sent for an autopsy.

Sung Jae Rim began his career as a model at a young age, and his acting journey started in 2009 with the film Actresses. He quickly gained fame and went on to star in films such as The Suspect, On Your Wedding Day, and Good Morning. He was also very popular in Korean dramas.

In 2012, he gained significant attention for his role as a royal bodyguard in the TV drama Moon Embracing the Sun. He later portrayed a killer in the drama Two Weeks.

In 2024, he impressed audiences with his performance in the series Queen Woo. He also had two upcoming films in post-production. Fans are struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of this talented actor.
