Israel Claims Success in Targeted Pager Explosions That Killed Hezbollah Militants

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Sunday that he personally approved an attack targeting Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon in September, resulting in nearly 40 deaths and thousands of injuries. Netanyahu’s spokesperson, Omer Dostri, conveyed that the Prime Minister authorized a precision strike on Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, and an explosive operation aimed at the group’s communication equipment.

Operation Targets Hezbollah Communication Devices

The operation was reportedly conducted between September 17 and 18, when thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah fighters detonated across Lebanon within 30 minutes. Israeli sources claimed the devices, which lack modern surveillance features, were employed to avoid Israeli tracking efforts.
