Ravens Overcome 14-Point Deficit to Defeat Bengals 35-34 in Thrilling AFC North Clash

The Baltimore Ravens staged a dramatic comeback to edge out the Cincinnati Bengals 35-34 on Thursday night at M&T Bank Stadium, overturning a 14-point deficit in the third quarter and scoring on four consecutive drives. This marked Baltimore’s second win over Cincinnati this season, following their high-scoring Week 5 overtime showdown.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson continued his MVP-worthy season, throwing for 290 yards and four touchdowns. Coming off a perfect passer rating last week, Jackson once again led Baltimore’s offense with precision, guiding the team back into the lead in the final minutes.

The Bengals jumped to a 21-7 advantage in the third quarter with explosive plays, including a 67-yard touchdown from Joe Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase. Despite a dominant night for Burrow, who tallied 428 yards and four touchdowns, and an exceptional performance from Chase with 264 receiving yards and three touchdowns, Cincinnati couldn’t hold off Baltimore’s relentless comeback.

With just 38 seconds remaining, Burrow connected with Chase for a five-yard touchdown, giving Cincinnati a chance to tie or win with a two-point conversion. But the attempt fell short as Burrow’s pass sailed over the receiver, leaving Baltimore victorious.

Controversy erupted on the failed two-point conversion, as no penalties were called despite potential facemask and defensive holding infractions. Head coach Zac Taylor voiced his disappointment, saying, “We had an opportunity… it just didn’t work out for us.”

In a key moment for Baltimore, cornerback Marlon Humphrey forced a crucial turnover, setting up a touchdown by Derrick Henry. Baltimore’s offense took control from there, with Jackson orchestrating three more touchdown drives, including a clutch pass to Rashod Bateman for the winning score with under two minutes to play.

This thrilling win solidifies Baltimore’s lead in their head-to-head series, now 32-27, in what was the 59th meeting between these rivals.
