Fox News reports that a senior aide of Vice President Kamala Harris confirmed that she congratulated President-elect Donald Trump by calling him on Wednesday. Harris will speak at Howard University in Washington, DC. at 4 o’clock.
Her aide also said that during the call, Harris emphasized acting as president who represents all Americans and the significance of a peaceful transfer of power.
The campaign of the previous president of the United States of America revealed that Harris and Trump had a phone conversation earlier today, before Harris’ conceding address.
Trump’s Campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung confirmed in a statement to Fox News “President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris spoke by phone earlier today where she congratulated him on his historic victory.”
Cheung also said, “President Trump acknowledged Vice President Harris on her strength, professionalism, and tenacity throughout the campaign, and both leaders agreed on the importance of unifying the country.”
