Chris Pratt Calls for Unity After Election Results

Chris Pratt believes Americans must support each other, regardless of the 2024 presidential election outcome.

In an op-ed for Maria Shriver’s The Sunday Paper, Pratt emphasized that the election result is less important than showing kindness and solidarity. He wrote, “How do we become a nation of honorable winners and graceful losers? It starts with remembering no matter who wins or loses, there are still people who need help.”

Pratt shared his personal perspective, acknowledging that, like many, he’s been “doomscrolling” through the election season. “I see things from both sides,” he wrote, adding that people’s lives and rights are at stake, but many others feel ignored by the government.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star reflected on his humble beginnings in a small town, where his parents struggled financially. Despite his success, Pratt aims to understand the election through the eyes of both sides. He also drew lessons from sports, recalling how losing was a part of the game. “Sometimes your team doesn’t win,” he noted.

Pratt continued, “It’s OK to be disappointed, but if we become too consumed by defeat or too arrogant in victory, we risk forgetting that we’re all part of the same country.”

His message comes after several of his Avengers co-stars, including Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Evans, endorsed Kamala Harris in the election.
