Earlier CNN Exit poll Shows the Economy is the top issue for most Georgia voters

Initial results from CNN’s exit survey of Georgians show that the economy is the top priority for about 40% of voters, according to Ariel Edwards-Levy, CNN’s Polling and Election Analytics Editor.

Among Georgia voters, less than 30% rank the health of democracy as the most important issue, whereas approximately 14% rank abortion, 10% immigration, and less than 5% foreign policy. That’s in stark contrast to the general attitude of the country, which prioritises democracy.

When asked if federal storm relief is reaching those who need it, Georgia voters are evenly divided: Just under half agree, while half disagree. Just like in the first exit poll conducted across the country, the majority of state residents (almost 60%) express their disapproval of President Joe Biden.

Similarly, Georgia voters are almost evenly divided over who they would trust more in a crisis: former president Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris.

Polls are closing in several states, including in battleground Georgia.
