Hollywood Is Nervously Waiting for Election Results

The 2024 election is still not decided, and people in Hollywood are sharing their thoughts on social media about the delay in the results.

Celebrities like Katie Couric, Bette Midler, Yvette Nicole Brown, John Cusack, and Krista Vernoff are talking about the close race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. As of 9:45 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Harris had 189 electoral votes, while Trump had 230.

By late Tuesday night on the West Coast, the race was still too close to call in important states like Pennsylvania, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Arizona.

The Associated Press has already said Trump won in states like Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, and Florida, among others.

On the other hand, the Associated Press has declared Harris the winner in states like New York, California, Illinois, and Virginia.

Late Tuesday night, the Harris campaign sent an email to their team saying they expected the race to last into Wednesday morning. The email said, “We are seeing good results from the Sun Belt states, and our best chance to reach 270 electoral votes is through the Blue Wall states.”

Former President Barack Obama reminded voters that it took several days to count all the votes in 2020, and it is likely that the outcome of this election will also take time.

Yvette Nicole Brown posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “This red mirage is frustrating. If we lose the Senate… Ugh! And it’s crazy that Latino voters are still leaning toward Trump when he has promised to DEPORT them.”
