”Destroying completely Hamas is a fantasy”

State Department briefing

“The idea that the Israeli army will completely destroy Hamas is a fantasy of the past. However, Israel has ensured that Hamas will never again be able to launch a military attack like it did on October 7.”

This was said by State Department representative Matthew Miller in response to reporters’ questions on Tuesday afternoon in Washington, D.C.

Additionally, regarding the recent cancellation of accreditation cards for 20 journalists in Bangladesh, he mentioned that the United States believes in media freedom in Bangladesh, just as it does around the world.

Regarding the attack and arson at the office of the Jatiya Party, Miller said, ‘We believe that all people in Bangladesh have political rights. They have the right to operate their political offices in accordance with government rules and to feel safe there.’

Miller also expressed hope that there would be justice in the case against 19 Hindu leaders accused of treason.

At the end of the press conference, Matthew Miller faced tough questions from a Pakistani journalist regarding the ousting of Imran Khan.
At one point during the press conference, a Pakistani journalist displayed a picture of Matthew Miller with the horns of a devil.
