What Kamala and Trump say in their closing speeches before the vote

In the final stages of the U.S. presidential campaign, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump recently delivered their closing speeches to voters.

Kamala Harris gave her speech at a location where, almost four years ago, Republican candidate Donald Trump had also spoken just before the Capitol riots.

Kamala Harris emphasized the importance of the election, saying, “This election may be the most important vote of your life, and it’s a choice between freedom and chaos.” She urged American voters to write the next chapter of an extraordinary story.

In her closing remarks, Harris also criticized her opponent, former President Donald Trump. She stated, “Nearly four years ago, Donald Trump stood in this place and sent an armed crowd to suppress the people’s will.”

Inflation is currently a significant issue in the U.S., and Harris addressed this by saying, “Our biggest challenge now is reducing costs, which were rising even before the pandemic and are still very high.”

Harris also pledged to protect abortion rights, stating, “People should have the fundamental freedom to make decisions about their own bodies.” She opened her speech by warning that “Donald Trump will force American women to get pregnant… Just Google Project 2025.” Although there’s no clear evidence Trump plans to do such a thing, he hasn’t shown any intent for such actions.

The Project 2025 Harris mentioned is a list of ultra-conservative policy proposals for the next Republican president, prepared by the Heritage Foundation.

While Trump has repeatedly tried to distance himself from Project 2025, saying, “I have no knowledge of Project 2025 or who’s behind it.”

While Harris gave her final speech in Washington, Republican candidate Donald Trump held a campaign rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This state is crucial in the presidential race, as its results could play a decisive role.

Trump opened his speech with a straightforward question to the voters, asking, “Are you better off now than you were four years ago?”

He then reiterated his campaign promises, which include reducing inflation and stopping the entry of immigrants into the U.S.

Trump also criticized Harris, saying, “Kamala has embarrassed us. She doesn’t have the leadership qualities.”

Trump urged people to vote and claimed, without evidence, that his opponents would engage in election fraud, stating there were already indications of this.

He then mentioned an incident in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where officials said earlier this week that they were investigating voter registration forms suspected to be fraudulent.

Election officials, however, assured that the county’s election is secure, and identifying suspected fraud is a sign of their system’s effectiveness.
