University of Tasmania Launches 25% Tuition Reduction Scholarship for New International Students

The University of Tasmania is rolling out the Tasmanian International Scholarship, offering eligible new international students a 25% reduction in tuition fees for the entirety of their academic program. This initiative aims to recognize and reward academic excellence while attracting top talent from around the globe.

Scholarship Highlights:

  • Eligibility: Open exclusively to new international students. Current students will not undergo reassessment based on their academic performance at the university.
  • Duration: The scholarship applies to programs with a minimum duration of one year.
  • Automatic Consideration: Undergraduate applicants (with specific exclusions, such as the Bachelor of Medical Science, Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Dementia Care, and AMC Seafaring courses) will be automatically considered upon application. International postgraduate coursework applicants are also eligible, though some courses are excluded.
  • Performance-Based Opportunities: After their first semester, students can apply for additional scholarship funding based on their academic performance, potentially increasing their overall scholarship value.
