Midnight Clash Erupts Along LoC Amid Indian Ceasefire Violation
Tensions flared along the Line of Control (LoC) as Indian forces allegedly violated the ceasefire, triggering a midnight exchange of fire between Indian and Pakistani troops. The incident occurred in the Kayani and Mandal sectors, where Indian forces reportedly opened fire around midnight between April 29 and 30.
According to security sources, the Pakistan Army responded swiftly, engaging in retaliatory strikes that reportedly destroyed multiple Indian posts, including the Chakpatra post in Indian-administered Kashmir. The Pakistani military described the cross-border aggression as a reflection of New Delhi’s escalating hostility, citing earlier evacuations of civilians from border villages and intensified crackdowns on Muslim communities.
Meanwhile, four Indian Rafale fighter jets were detected patrolling within Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir on the same night, prompting a rapid response from the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), which forced the Indian aircraft to retreat. The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Ishaq Dar, is expected to hold a press conference addressing the rising tensions.
The midnight clash marks a significant escalation in hostilities, with both nations remaining on high alert. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely, urging restraint from both sides.
