U.S. Secretary of State: Iran Must Abandon Nuclear Program Completely

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has stated that Iran must fully abandon all forms of uranium enrichment and nuclear development if it wants to make any deal with the United States or avoid the risk of a military strike.

Rubio emphasized that if Iran wishes to negotiate with President Donald Trump, it must halt its nuclear enrichment activities. This would also help Tehran avoid potential military conflict.

He added that Iran could pursue a peaceful nuclear program if it chooses to, but it must import enriched uranium from other countries, similar to the practice of other nations.

Iran, on the other hand, has consistently claimed that its nuclear program is peaceful and that it has never attempted to build nuclear weapons, despite having the capability. However, Tehran has rejected the proposal to abandon its uranium enrichment program.

During his first term, President Trump unilaterally withdrew the U.S. from the 2015 nuclear deal to pressure Iran. After returning to the White House for a second term, he initiated a new round of negotiations, imposing stricter
