Repeated Attacks on US Warship in the Red Sea

At least three attacks have been carried out on the U.S. Navy’s aircraft carrier, USS Harry Truman, in the Red Sea. Yemen’s Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attacks on this U.S. warship and its fleet in the northern part of the Red Sea early Wednesday morning.

According to a statement broadcast by Al-Masirah TV, which is operated by the Houthis, the group’s military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, stated that Houthi military forces launched multiple attacks using missiles and drones against USS Harry Truman. He claimed that the U.S. fleet was targeted at least three times.

He further warned, “Our attacks against American enemy warships in the region will continue to intensify. We will not stop our operations until the Israeli war against Gaza ends.”

The U.S. Navy has not yet commented on the reported Houthi attacks on USS Harry Truman in the Red Sea.

U.S. Strikes in Yemen

On Tuesday, Yemeni media and local residents reported that the United States launched new airstrikes in the Mansouriya district of Hudaydah, western Yemen, targeting a water project. At least three people were killed, and the facility was damaged, according to sources.

The Houthi rebels have threatened to continue targeting U.S. warships and Israel-linked commercial vessels until Israel allows more humanitarian aid into Gaza. In response, since March 15, the U.S. military has been carrying out airstrikes targeting Houthi positions across Yemen.

Following these U.S. airstrikes, the Houthis have retaliated by launching attacks on U.S. warships in the Red Sea. On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump vowed to continue military operations against the Houthis until the attacks on American warships cease.
