Massive Fire from Gas Pipeline Leak in Malaysia Injures Over 100

A severe fire broke out in a gas pipeline in the Selangor area near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during the Eid celebrations. The fire, caused by a leak in the pipeline, has injured over 100 people and destroyed dozens of homes.

The fire spread over a 500-meter stretch of the pipeline, with flames visible from several kilometers away. The pipeline is owned by Malaysia’s state-run oil company, Petronas. After the fire, gas supplies were halted, and fire department teams worked for several hours to control the blaze.

At least 112 people have been injured, with around 60 people hospitalized. More than 50 homes were damaged by the fire. Many residents were forced to flee their homes due to the disaster.

Local authorities have set up temporary relief centers in the affected areas, and people have been advised to stay away from the site.
