Yemen Shaken by Devastating U.S. Airstrikes

The U.S. military has once again carried out airstrikes in the Sahar and Saqin districts of Yemen’s Saada province. However, the exact number of casualties has not yet been confirmed. Saba News Agency and Al Masirah Television, which are affiliated with the Houthi rebels, have reported this information.

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the attack on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). They released a video showing U.S. warplanes flying, with the caption: “Restoring freedom of navigation.” Additionally, the hashtag “Houthis are terrorists” was included.

Since March 15, the U.S. military has been conducting airstrikes in Yemen. Earlier, the Houthi rebels had announced their intention to resume attacks on Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea. The Houthis stated that these attacks were being carried out in retaliation for Israel’s blockade and assault on Gaza.

Anis Al-Asbahi, the spokesperson for the Houthi health ministry, reported that a U.S. airstrike on Sunday damaged a residential building in the Asir area of Sana’a. The attack resulted in one death and 13 injuries, including three children.

So far, at least 53 people have been killed in U.S. airstrikes in Yemen.
