Missile Attack on Israel

Houthi rebels from Yemen launched a missile attack on Israel in support of the Palestinians. Early Sunday morning, the group claimed responsibility for the attack targeting Israeli territory. The Israeli military also confirmed intercepting a missile launched from Yemen.

Before the missile could strike, sirens were activated across various regions of Israel to alert residents. In a statement, the Israeli military said that sirens were sounded early Sunday morning in multiple areas, and shortly afterward, an incoming missile from Yemen was intercepted before entering Israeli airspace.

The Israeli Air Force successfully neutralized the missile, according to the military’s statement. This attack follows multiple missile strikes by Iran-backed groups on Israel earlier in the week.

The Houthi rebels had previously threatened to target Israel in retaliation for Israel’s renewed military operations in Gaza last Tuesday. On Friday, the Israeli military also claimed to have intercepted another missile fired from Yemen.

Additionally, on Saturday morning, the Houthis launched a ballistic missile toward Ben Gurion Airport in Israel. This marks the third missile attack on Israel within two days.

In a statement, the Houthi group warned that Israeli airspace would remain unsafe as long as aggression against Gaza continued. The United States launched extensive strikes against the Houthis last week.

On Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Houthis would be completely eliminated and warned Tehran against continuing its support for the group.
