China has launched eight more satellites into space from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. At 4:07 PM Beijing time, six satellites were successfully launched using the Ceres-1 carrier rocket and entered their designated orbits.
Additionally, two more satellites, AirSat-06 and AirSat-07, were deployed as part of this mission. This marks the 18th flight of the Ceres-1 carrier rocket.
These satellites are capable of collecting data on Earth’s atmospheric temperature, humidity, pressure, and ionospheric electron density.
The goal of this satellite network is to establish a real-time atmospheric and ionospheric monitoring system, which will enhance global weather forecasting and support industrial applications.
Meanwhile, Beijing-based rocket company Galactic Energy has completed 17 successful launches so far. Their latest mission was China’s first commercial launch in 2025.
