U.S. Initiates Investigation Against 45 Universities Over Racial Discrimination

The U.S. Department of Education has launched an investigation into 45 universities over allegations of racial discrimination and bias against white American students.

In a statement on Thursday, Education Secretary Linda McMahon said, “We want to ensure that U.S. universities remain free from racism and discrimination, and this investigation is part of that effort.”

The Department’s Office for Civil Rights is conducting the investigation based on written complaints. The allegations suggest that these universities have recently introduced programs to attract international students, potentially disadvantaging American students.

According to official sources, these universities may have violated the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964, which was originally enacted to prevent racial discrimination against non-white individuals. Now, the same law is being invoked in support of white students.

It remains unclear whether any white students have been directly affected by these programs. However, the Trump administration has taken a strong stance on such issues. Recently, the administration revoked a $400 million fund from Columbia University over allegations of expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
