The fifth and final season of The Boys is about to get Supernatural. Fans of the long-running series Supernatural were thrilled to hear that Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, and Jensen Ackles will be making special appearances in the upcoming season of The Boys.
On February 26, the trio, who starred in Supernatural, shared the exciting news in a joint Instagram Reel. “Season 5 just got a bit more supernatural,” Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy in The Boys, said at the start of the video. Padalecki, who portrayed Sam Winchester in Supernatural, added humorously, “Okay, I’ll tell Misha,” before panning the camera over to a Chevrolet Impala, the iconic car from Supernatural, with witchcraft symbols drawn on the trunk.
Collins, who played Castiel in Supernatural, made a brief appearance in the video, flashing a thumbs-up and asking, “What are we doing?” as the promo ended.
Supernatural ran for 15 seasons from 2005 to 2020, with Padalecki and Ackles starring as brothers Sam and Dean Winchester. Collins joined the show in its fourth season as the angel Castiel. Ackles’ involvement in The Boys came in season 3, and he will also lead the Vought Rising spinoff, alongside Aya Cash.
In addition to Ackles, Padalecki and Collins will both appear as guest stars in season 5 of The Boys. The final season will also feature Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, who also helms The Boys. He revealed that season 5 will be the epic conclusion to the series, describing it as a “gory, epic, moist climax.”
Details of the guest roles for Padalecki and Collins remain under wraps, but their involvement is sure to excite fans of both Supernatural and The Boys.
