Prayagraj, India – The 45-day-long Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is set to conclude on Wednesday with the final holy dip on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. This year, the event witnessed an unprecedented turnout, with an estimated 660 million devotees taking a sacred dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.
On the last day of the festival, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP MP Ravi Kishan visited various Shiva temples in Prayagraj, including Mansarovar Temple, Mukteshwar Nath Temple, and Mahadev Jharkhandi Temple, to offer prayers.
Expressing his gratitude, CM Yogi Adityanath extended his best wishes to the people of the state on Maha Shivratri. He emphasized that this historic participation in the Maha Kumbh symbolizes the unity of the nation.
Authorities ensured strict security measures and special arrangements to facilitate the massive gathering, making this one of the largest religious gatherings in history.
