Another Plane Crash in the United States, 1 Dead

It seems like plane crashes are becoming frequent in the United States. This time, a commercial jet veered off the runway while landing at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona and collided with another parked aircraft. At least one person lost their life in the accident, which occurred on Monday (February 10), according to a report by British news agency Reuters.

In a press conference, Scottsdale Fire Department spokesperson Dave Folio stated that at least four other individuals were injured in the crash. Emergency responders are making every effort to rescue them.

As of the time of writing this Reuters report, it was known that one of the injured individuals was still trapped inside the crashed aircraft, while the other three had been transported to a nearby hospital.

Folio did not disclose the cause of the accident or any further details during the press conference.

A statement released by the Federal Aviation Administration mentioned that during landing, a Learjet 35A aircraft veered off the runway and collided with a parked Gulfstream 200 jet. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.

This incident once again raises concerns about aviation safety in the United States.

The National Transportation Safety Board is currently investigating multiple plane crashes that have occurred in recent weeks. The most severe among them was a mid-air collision between a passenger jet and a military helicopter in the capital, Washington, D.C., which claimed 67 lives. Additionally, a medical jet crash in Philadelphia resulted in seven fatalities, while another plane crash in Alaska killed ten people.
