Trump Warns of ‘Obliteration’ if Iran Assassinates Him

Washington, D.C. – Former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning, stating that he has left instructions for Iran to be “obliterated” if it were to assassinate him. Speaking from the Oval Office while signing an executive order aimed at imposing maximum pressure on Tehran, Trump emphasized that such an act would lead to the complete destruction of Iran.

Trump’s comments come in the wake of an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate him, which was thwarted by federal authorities last November. The Justice Department revealed that Iranian officials had instructed Farhad Shakeri, a 51-year-old charged with murder-for-hire, to surveil and ultimately assassinate Trump. Shakeri remains at large in Iran.

The former president underscored that his directive was not motivated by personal concerns but rather the potential consequences for Iran. “If they did that, they would be obliterated. That would be the end. I’ve left instructions,” Trump stated.

This latest development highlights the ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Iran, with Trump’s administration continuing to take a hardline stance against the Iranian government.
