Shakira Wins 4th Grammy, Dedicates Award to Immigrants

Pop icon Shakira added another feather to her crown on her birthday, winning her fourth Grammy for her album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. She dedicated the award to immigrant brothers and sisters, saying, “They are deserving of this, and I stand by their fight.”

The award was presented to Shakira by Jennifer Lopez, with her two children, Milan and Sasha, in the audience. During her emotional acceptance speech, she mentioned the devastating wildfires in the U.S. and expressed her admiration for the hard work of women around the world.

Shakira also performed after receiving the award, leaving the audience speechless. Known for her songwriting, belly dancing, choreography, record production, and modeling, Shakira rose to fame globally with the 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem Waka Waka.

Her connection with the Bengali audience grew from there, and she also had a high-profile relationship with Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué, which ended after 11 years.
