Freedom Fighter Beaten and Assaulted in Kushtia,Bangladesh

A freedom fighter was allegedly beaten and humiliated in Kumarkhali, Kushtia. The incident took place at Nowsher intersection of Panti Bazar in Panti union of the upazila around 10am on Saturday.

The name of the freedom fighter is Abdur Rahman (70). He is the son of late Afsar Uddin of Ramnagar area of the same union and agriculture affairs secretary of the upazila Awami League. He was admitted to Kushtia General Hospital.

Freedom fighter Abdur Rahman declined to comment on the matter due to absolute fear.

Later, A valiant freedom fighter named Royal Hossain posted pictures of Abdur Rahman’s injuries in different parts of his body and video footage of him being treated at the hospital. There he wrote, “Today, even after 55 years of independence, if the hands are raised on the freedom fighters of the country. If their ribs and legs were broken, what was the need for them to bring that freedom?!! Shame on the Bengali nation, which rewards its sons of the sun in this way. And woe to our present social system and social leaders, whose hidden fear is the fate of today. ’
In the video, freedom fighter Abdur Rahman said, “On Saturday morning, I went to the Sabu named a doctor in Panti Bazar to measure the pressure. When I came out of there, three youths came on a motorcycle and hit me on my legs and neck from behind with sticks. I didn’t recognize them because they were hit from behind. From there, I was admitted to Kushtia General Hospital. It looks like a bone in my arm is broken. I have to go to the hospital again. ’
Freedom fighter Abdur Rahman also said in a tearful voice, “Earlier, his men led by Abu Bakar, son of Kashem Sardar, known as Razakar (Supporter and collaborator of genocide by Pakistani Army in 1971) in Panti area, assaulted me in the market. I don’t know what I did. This is the debt of the people by liberating the country. Now I have to be tortured by the Razakars. Razakar’s son will come and beat me. ’
Some traders of Panti Bazar, wishing anonymity, said that when Abdur Rahman came to Nowsher intersection around 10:30 am, unidentified people beat him with sticks and left. Later, the freedom fighter went away after receiving treatment from a rural doctor in Panti Bazar. However, locals could not identify the accused persons. According to them, this incident may have happened due to previous enmity.

Hossain Imam, resident medical officer of Kushtia General Hospital, said Abdur Rahman, a freedom fighter, was admitted to the hospital around 11:45am on Saturday.

Kumarkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) said. Solaiman Sheikh said there were reports of a freedom fighter being beaten up in Panti Bazar. Police visited the spot. Legal action will be taken if a written complaint is received.

Bangladesh is now in the final form of anarchy, murder and fascism. Mohammad Yunus is gradually turning a secular country born in 1971 into a buffer state through conspiracy. The freedom fighters, who played the biggest role in achieving independence in exchange for the blood of three million people, are being humiliated and beaten only for being supporters of Bangladesh Awami League, the only leading party of independence. To see the most polluted form of fascism, you have to look at Bangladesh.
