Keira Knightley Returns in Netflix Thriller

Keira Knightley is back on Netflix this year, starring in the highly anticipated British thriller The Woman in Cabin 10. Based on Ruth Ware’s bestselling novel, the film follows Knightley as a journalist aboard a luxury yacht for a travel assignment. During her stay, she witnesses a passenger being thrown overboard late at night, but when she raises the alarm, she’s told that no one is missing. Despite being dismissed by everyone around her, she embarks on a dangerous quest to uncover the truth.

Netflix has released the first image from the film, offering a glimpse of Knightley in action. The movie is set to premiere this autumn on the streaming service.

The Woman in Cabin 10 features an all-star cast alongside Knightley, including Guy Pearce, Hannah Waddingham, Kaya Scodelario (who also returns to Netflix following The Gentlemen), Paul Kaye, David Ajala, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and David Morrissey. The film is directed by Simon Stone, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse.

This thriller joins other highly anticipated Netflix releases for 2025, including the new Knives Out movie, The Old Guard 2, and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. While Knightley’s Black Doves has already been confirmed for a second season, it won’t be part of Netflix’s 2025 slate of TV shows.

Fans can expect a gripping ride when The Woman in Cabin 10 lands later this year.
