Target Killings & Attacks Against Hindus in Bangladesh; Over 3,000 Attacks, 23 Murdered So Far in Yunus Regime

Jahan Ahmed Britto

According to the Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist and Christian Unity Council, there have been 1,769 incidents of communal attacks and vandalism since August 4, 2024. Of these, 2,010 incidents were reported on the life, property and places of worship of minorities.
Bangladesh’s largest minority rights group also accused the country’s interim government on Thursday of failing to protect religious and ethnic minorities from attacks and harassment, a claim the government has denied.
The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council said the government headed by Muhammad Yunus is also using state institutions to suppress minority groups. Yunus took over after a conspirational so-called ‘student-led’ uprising last year.

The council earlier said 2,010 incidents of communal violence took place across the Muslim-majority country between Aug. 4 and 20. The Yunus-led government disputed the claim, saying that most of the incidents were caused by “political reasons” and not by communal issues.
Traditionally, Hindus and other members of minority groups have been seen as supporters of Hasina’s Bangladesh Awami League party.
In light of more details, there have been at least 3,000 attacks on Hindus across Bangladesh and at least 23 people have lost their lives.

On August 5, 2024, Sheikh Hasina was deposed in Bangladesh through a conspiracy. This so-called ‘movement’ is mainly led by militant organizations and the anti-liberation forces of Bangladesh. This “movement” conducted in the name of student masses is a long-standing conspiracy to oust Sheikh Hasina, it became clear as daylight later. People of healthy beautiful thoughts began to lose their lives one by one. Mohammad Yunus sits in power illegally standing on a row of corpses. More than 3,000 policemen were killed and hanged by the militants and cheered Inferiorly.

Then a promising Bangladesh became a hell of meeting death. Corpses after corpses. On an average, more than 313 killings are committed every day in Bangladesh.

According to sources, after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina through conspiracy on August 5, hellish torture started on Hindus as usual. After Sheikh Hasina took shelter in India, the looting of Hindu homes, murder, grabbing of their land, rape, vandalism and forced emigration continued. Hindus were trying hard to enter India at the border. They continued to leave the country to save their lives. According to many unofficial estimates, Hindus have been victims of thousands of attacks and many lives have been lost. This pattern of atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh is nothing new.

Bangladesh became independent in 1971. Under the leadership of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh was liberated from the hands of the Pakistan occupation army under the single leadership of Awami League leaders. Pakistan was forced to surrender with 93,000 soldiers. Three million people were killed.

After committing one of the worst genocides in the history of the world, Pakistan finally surrendered. In 1971, the number of Hindus in Bangladesh was about 21%. Now it’s down to less than 7%. Victims of constant attacks, rapes and killings, Hindus gradually left Bangladesh and took shelter in India. According to Professor Dr. Abul Barkat, after independence, about 33 lakh hectares of land of Hindus have been occupied in Bangladesh, which is almost ten times the size of the state of Israel. 21% of Hindus are leaving the country almost every day in the wake of persecution and massacre. Abul Barkat claimed that the Hindu community is going to be the name of like extinct animals in Bangladesh very soon.

Hindus are scapegoats in Bangladesh. Every time the political scenario changes in Bangladesh, there are vicious attacks and massacres on Hindus. After the BNP-Jamaat backed government came to power in 2001, the hellish killings started again in Bangladesh. This time, after August 5, the worst genocide in history has descended on Hindus in Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh, the militant community has been carrying out ethnic cleansing against Hindus since 1971. Never in history has such a heinous massacre been witnessed in any country to eliminate a nationhood forever.

Hindus in Bangladesh are now living in a virtual death hell before they were almost eradicated. The obvious reality is that atrocities on Hindus are very common in Bangladesh, forcibly occupying their lands, raping and killing their daughters indiscriminately, forcing them to migrate and eliminating them is now a very common thing in Bangladesh. Where will The Bangladeshi Hindus go?
