The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has suspended its cooperation activities in Bangladesh. This information was provided by the agency in a letter on Sunday.

The letter was signed by Brian Aaron, the Acquisition and Assistance Supervisory Agreement Officer of USAID.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has issued a directive to halt aid to all countries worldwide, except Egypt and Israel. The letter states that USAID has suspended its aid to Bangladesh due to this directive.
